LAND IN THE MIDDLE / 2017

This project is seen as a continuation of a long-standing tradition in the field of documentary photography related to Slovak countryside (e.g. Plicka, Martinček, Benický etc.). It is a project about a country, the people living there, their traditions – past and current ones. About where this country has gotten in the 25 years of her existence. It is a probe into the mental state of a country that sits between East and West and cannot decide which way to go.
